Fabricators in the Marine, Automotive, Transportation, Storage Tank, and Wind-Energy Industries Achieve Exacting Tolerances With Mahogany Company Kits

Mahogany Company precision-engineered composites kits can virtually eliminate fiberglass and core material scrap and their inventory management costs in Vacuum Infusion, Compression Molding, RTM, and other Open and Closed-Molded Processes.

Using sophisticated laser-scanning technology, Mahogany Company produces exact, 3D virtual models of our customer’s original – on site or, when practicable, at our facility in southern New Jersey, convenient to one of America’s major yacht-building centers.

These 3D replications are converted electronically to two-dimensional patterns for transfer to the composite material. Fiberglass and core materials are then cut by automated equipment, chosen to excel at specific applications.

The latest CNC router, for example, achieves tolerances seldom achieved by other composite suppliers. A Lectra Vector unit cuts perfect circles or intricate shapes in multiple layers, rapidly and efficiently, from a variety of fiberglass and core materials.

An Eastman computerized fabric-cutting machine reproduces shapes conceived in the imaginations of our customers’ designers with absolute accuracy. Specialized equipment like our fabric re-roller significantly decreases product-handling time – allowing Mahogany Company to compete easily with kit manufacturers without our precision capabilities.

Mahogany also produces lightweight and rigid composite panels, in .75" and 1" thicknesses. Their ready-to-paint matt finishes are easily veneered with standard adhesives. Available in custom sizes and shapes, panels can be cut, shaped, or drilled using conventional woodworking tools.
